Xpate is seeking a Senior DevOps/Infrastructure Engineer to lead the reliability, scalability, and evolution of its AWS-based infrastructure. This role focuses on architecting resilient, high-performance systems that support real-time financial transactions while ensuring compliance, security, and operational excellence. The engineer will evaluate current infrastructure, propose improvements, and execute initiatives that enhance scalability and cost efficiency.
Responsibilities:
- Assess and optimize existing AWS architecture for reliability, scalability, and cost control
- Design monitoring, alerting, and incident response systems to ensure high availability
- Architect event-driven, high-performance systems for payment processing
- Manage and optimize databases such as Aurora and DynamoDB
- Implement Infrastructure as Code, CI/CD pipelines, and automation practices
- Ensure compliance with fintech security and data protection standards
Requirements:
- 4+ years of production infrastructure design and operations experience
- 2–3+ years of hands-on AWS experience (Lambda, S3, Aurora, RDS, DynamoDB, Cognito, API Gateway, SNS/SQS)
- Practical experience with Infrastructure as Code and automation scripting
- Strong understanding of event-driven architectures and asynchronous processing
- Knowledge of security best practices and regulated environments
- Strong problem-solving skills and ownership mindset
