Senior Frontend Developer

xpate is a Riga-founded global fintech platform providing all-in-one money management solutions for digital businesses and regulated industries. The Senior Frontend Developer will build high-performance, accessible fintech interfaces using Next.js and React, own UI quality end-to-end, manage data flows and authentication, and ensure robust testing, performance optimization, and component consistency across the platform.

xpate is seeking a Senior Frontend Developer to build and maintain high-quality fintech web interfaces where user experience and performance are treated as core features. This role focuses on delivering fast, accessible, and reliable applications using Next.js and React while owning UI quality from implementation through testing and optimization.  

Responsibilities:  
- Build responsive and accessible user interfaces using Next.js, React, and TypeScript.  
- Implement pixel-perfect designs with Tailwind CSS and consistent design tokens.  
- Manage server and client state using TanStack Query and implement forms with React Hook Form and Yup.  
- Integrate authentication flows via AWS Amplify and Cognito.  
- Write and maintain unit, integration, and end-to-end tests using Jest, React Testing Library, and Playwright.  
- Contribute to and extend the shared component library using a Storybook-first approach.  

Requirements:  
- Strong hands-on experience with React and TypeScript.  
- Solid understanding of Next.js routing, rendering modes, and data fetching patterns.  
- Commitment to accessibility, UI correctness, and predictable behavior.  
- Experience debugging production issues and delivering low-risk changes.  
- Proficiency in writing meaningful automated tests.  
- English proficiency at B2 level or higher.
