Manual Quality Assurance Engineer, Web Core Product

Speechify is a globally distributed technology company providing text-to-speech products used by over 50 million people to make reading more accessible. The Manual Quality Assurance Engineer will ensure the quality and stability of Speechify’s Web application by executing detailed manual testing, maintaining QA documentation, collaborating cross-functionally, and driving continuous improvements in testing processes.

Speechify is seeking a Manual Quality Assurance Engineer to support the quality and reliability of its Web Core Product. As part of a fully remote and globally distributed team, you will focus on manual testing processes that ensure functional coverage, stability, and high-quality releases. This role requires strong attention to detail, structured documentation practices, and close collaboration with engineering, product, and support teams.  

Responsibilities:  
- Develop and execute detailed manual test plans and test cases for the Web application.  
- Perform cross-browser and cross-device testing for new features, fixes, and releases.  
- Identify, reproduce, and document defects with clear reproduction steps and evidence.  
- Maintain regression suites, QA documentation, and release validation reports.  
- Collaborate with Product and Engineering to prioritize issues based on user impact.  
- Participate in Agile ceremonies and continuously improve QA processes and coverage.  

Requirements:  
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.  
- 3+ years of experience in manual QA testing with web applications.  
- Strong knowledge of test planning, regression testing, and exploratory testing.  
- Experience working in Agile environments with cross-functional teams.  
- Proficiency using bug tracking tools such as Jira or similar systems.  
- Strong written communication and troubleshooting skills.
