Index is seeking a Middle/Senior React Developer (part-time) to build and optimize high-quality, performant, and SEO-friendly web applications using React and Next.js. This role focuses on delivering excellent user experience, strong Core Web Vitals, and reliable analytics tracking while collaborating closely with product, design, and marketing teams. The position also offers a supported path toward backend development exposure in Ruby on Rails and Python.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain React and Next.js components, pages, and application logic.
- Implement responsive, accessible, and SEO-optimized interfaces using modern CSS frameworks.
- Identify and resolve frontend performance issues including code splitting and lazy loading.
- Implement and maintain technical SEO best practices, schema markup, and tracking tools.
- Manage analytics integrations such as GTM and GA4, ensuring accurate data tracking.
- Participate in code reviews and collaborate with backend teams to ensure API reliability.
Requirements:
- Strong knowledge of HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript (ES6+), and TypeScript.
- Hands-on experience with React.js and Next.js frameworks.
- Solid understanding of technical SEO principles and Core Web Vitals optimization.
- Experience with Tailwind CSS and unit testing using Jest.
- Familiarity with Git and modern build tools such as Webpack.
- Ability to work independently with strong organizational and analytical skills.
