Senior Frontend Developer

The Senior Frontend Developer builds high-performance, accessible fintech interfaces using Next.js and React, owning UI quality end-to-end while ensuring scalability, performance optimization, and reliable testing across the web application stack.

xpate is seeking a Senior Frontend Developer to design and deliver high-quality, performant fintech user interfaces. This role focuses on building clean, accessible, and scalable applications using modern React and Next.js technologies while maintaining strong ownership over UI performance, testing, and reliability.

Responsibilities:
- Build responsive and accessible user interfaces using Next.js, React, and TypeScript.
- Implement pixel-perfect layouts with Tailwind CSS and consistent design systems.
- Manage server and client state using TanStack Query and implement robust forms with React Hook Form and Yup.
- Integrate authentication flows using AWS Amplify and Cognito.
- Develop and maintain unit, integration, and end-to-end tests using Jest, React Testing Library, and Playwright.
- Contribute to and expand a shared component library with a Storybook-first approach.

Requirements:
- Strong hands-on experience with React and TypeScript in production environments.
- Solid understanding of Next.js routing, rendering strategies, and data-fetching patterns.
- Experience building accessible, performant, and predictable UI systems.
- Ability to debug production issues and implement low-risk changes.
- Proven experience writing meaningful automated tests.
- English proficiency at B2 level or higher and regular use of AI tools to enhance productivity.
