UpCounting is seeking an Accounting Manager to lead a team of accountants supporting eCommerce and digital-first businesses. This fully remote role focuses on delivering high-quality financial reporting, maintaining operational excellence, and providing clients with clarity and confidence in their financial data. The Accounting Manager will oversee full-cycle accounting processes while contributing to scalable systems and automation initiatives.
Responsibilities:
- Manage and mentor a team of Accountants to ensure accurate and timely deliverables.
- Oversee full-cycle accounting processes including reconciliations, financial reporting, and month-end close.
- Review client financial statements to ensure accuracy and consistency across multiple portfolios.
- Communicate financial insights to clients, helping them understand performance and key metrics.
- Identify process improvements and automation opportunities to enhance efficiency.
- Ensure adherence to internal accounting standards and continuous operational improvement.
Requirements:
- 5+ years of experience in accounting management, preferably in a multi-client or firm environment.
- Strong proficiency in QuickBooks Online and/or Xero; NetSuite experience is a plus.
- Deep understanding of full-cycle accounting and month-end close processes.
- Experience leading and mentoring accounting teams.
- Comfortable using automation tools and improving workflows.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
