Job Description
SmithRx is seeking a Senior Cloud Engineer to build and manage a scalable, secure, and compliant cloud infrastructure supporting a rapidly growing healthcare technology platform. This role plays a critical part in advancing DevSecOps practices, ensuring system reliability, and maintaining continuous compliance within regulated healthcare environments. The engineer will collaborate closely with development teams to automate deployment processes and enhance infrastructure resilience as the company’s user base expands.
Responsibilities:
- Build and maintain a container-based infrastructure that is scalable, redundant, compliant, and efficient.
- Design and manage AWS-based infrastructure, including Kubernetes/EKS environments.
- Develop and maintain secure, reproducible CI/CD pipelines using tools such as GitHub Actions.
- Monitor systems using tools like CloudWatch and DataDog, performing troubleshooting and root cause analysis.
- Automate infrastructure management through scripting and Infrastructure as Code practices.
- Ensure compliance with security frameworks including HIPAA and SOC2.
Requirements:
- 5+ years of experience in Cloud Engineering.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field.
- Extensive experience with AWS and Kubernetes/EKS.
- Strong knowledge of Infrastructure as Code, preferably Terraform.
- Experience with monitoring, logging, and systems reliability practices.
- Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python and Shell.
