Mozilla is seeking a Firefox OS Integration Engineer specializing in crash reporting to join its OS Integration team. This role focuses on maintaining and evolving client-side crash and error reporting systems across supported platforms, particularly macOS. The engineer will work within Mozilla’s open-source codebase to enhance product reliability and ensure high-quality user and developer experiences.
Responsibilities:
- Develop, test, and ship improvements to Firefox crash reporting systems
- Maintain and evolve low-level crash detection and reporting code
- Analyze crash data to generate insights and improve stability
- Collaborate with distributed teams through code reviews and technical discussions
- Interact with OS primitives and abstraction layers to ensure proper integration
- Break down complex problems and document design decisions for team alignment
Requirements:
- Degree in Computer Science or comparable professional experience
- At least two years of professional experience with Rust and/or C++
- Experience or interest in low-level programming and stack analysis
- Strong debugging and problem-solving skills
- Familiarity with compiler, debugger, or OS development concepts (preferred)
- Ability to work effectively in a distributed, open-source environment
