AI Tutor - Video Specialist

This role involves annotating multimedia data, analyzing video structure, and applying advanced post-production expertise to improve AI understanding of motion, pacing, and visual effects.

xAI is seeking an AI Tutor – Video Specialist to support the development of Grok’s ability to interpret and generate high-quality video content. This role combines technical video production expertise with analytical precision to improve AI understanding of motion, editing structure, and post-production workflows. The specialist will work with proprietary tools to curate and annotate video data while contributing directly to model refinement.

Responsibilities:
- Provide detailed labels and annotations for video and multimedia projects  
- Analyze motion, timing, transitions, and visual effects in video sequences  
- Deliver high-quality curated datasets to enhance AI video comprehension  
- Evaluate technical elements such as pacing, color grading, and narrative flow  
- Collaborate with team members to ensure data accuracy and consistency  
- Meet training schedules and maintain communication during onboarding and ongoing work  

Requirements:
- Portfolio demonstrating excellence in video editing, motion graphics, or VFX  
- Proficiency in tools such as Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve, After Effects, or Nuke  
- Strong understanding of post-production workflows and compositing techniques  
- Ability to critically evaluate technical video execution  
- Strong written and verbal English communication skills  
- Reliable access to approved computer systems and a smartphone
