Medical Science Liaison

Oruka Therapeutics is a clinical-stage biotechnology company developing novel biologics to treat chronic skin diseases such as plaque psoriasis. This field-based Medical Science Liaison role supports medical affairs strategy across the western territory, building peer-to-peer relationships with healthcare professionals and clinical investigators while facilitating scientific exchange and supporting clinical development initiatives.

Oruka Therapeutics is seeking a Medical Science Liaison (MSL) to serve as a field-based scientific expert supporting medical affairs objectives across the western territory. The MSL will act as a key liaison between the clinical community and internal teams, fostering high-quality scientific exchange and supporting clinical development programs. This role emphasizes collaboration with key opinion leaders and clinical trial sites to advance Oruka’s dermatology-focused pipeline.  

Responsibilities:  
- Develop and execute a territory engagement plan aligned with medical strategy objectives  
- Build and maintain peer-to-peer relationships with key opinion leaders, investigators, and healthcare professionals  
- Provide scientific exchange regarding products and ongoing clinical trials  
- Support national and regional scientific congresses through KOL engagement and booth activities  
- Deliver actionable field insights to internal stakeholders  
- Identify and support high-performing clinical trial sites for development programs  

Requirements:  
- Advanced life sciences degree (PharmD, PhD, MD/DO, MSN, NP/DNP, DMS/PA or equivalent)  
- Minimum 5 years of clinical or industry experience  
- Prior field Medical Science Liaison experience required  
- Strong knowledge of dermatology and drug development processes  
- Understanding of clinical trial design, safety monitoring, and regulatory frameworks  
- Ability to work independently with strong communication and organizational skills
