Senior QA Engineer

As a Senior QA Engineer, you will act as the quality partner for developers and product managers, taking ownership of quality outcomes across the entire software development lifecycle. This role emphasizes collaboration, leadership, and proactive quality practices rather than end-stage testing.

Responsibilities:
- Drive a shift-left quality mindset by identifying risks, assumptions, and edge cases early.
- Own and continuously improve the team’s overall quality strategy and test approach.
- Lead quality initiatives such as risk-based testing and test planning improvements.
- Collaborate closely with product managers and developers during refinement and design.
- Design and execute test plans, charters, and exploratory testing for complex features.
- Ensure releases meet agreed quality standards and real-world usage expectations.

Requirements:
- 5+ years of experience in QA within modern software product teams.
- Strong expertise in exploratory testing, risk-based testing, and structured test design.
- Proven ability to identify quality gaps and lead actionable improvements.
- Hands-on experience planning and executing test strategies for complex systems.
- Ability to collaborate effectively within agile, cross-functional teams.
- Strong communication skills with a focus on ownership and accountability.
