We are seeking a Senior Backend Engineer to build and maintain high-performance backend systems for a decentralized exchange (DEX) within the Solana ecosystem. The role involves designing ultra-low latency services, optimizing throughput, and ensuring the reliability of critical trading infrastructure in a mission-critical environment.
Responsibilities:
- Design and implement high-throughput, low-latency backend services and off-chain infrastructure to support real-time trading and order matching.
- Analyze and optimize engine latency and throughput for top-of-block execution and settlement services.
- Lead technical design for greenfield projects, building resilient and distributed systems.
- Implement monitoring, observability, and automation tools such as Prometheus and Grafana to ensure 24/7 uptime.
- Collaborate with quant researchers, smart contract engineers, and product managers to translate trading requirements into scalable software.
- Mentor junior engineers and enforce high engineering standards through code reviews and documentation.
Requirements:
- Minimum 5 years of professional backend development experience, including 1-2 years in Smart Contract development.
- Deep expertise in Rust or Go, or strong experience in Java/C++ with a willingness to learn Rust.
- Proven experience with electronic trading systems, order management systems, or exchange infrastructure.
- Strong knowledge of multithreading, memory management, and performance tuning for low-latency environments.
- Proficiency with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), message brokers (Kafka, Redis), and relational databases (PostgreSQL/MySQL).
- Familiarity with blockchain concepts and a passion for decentralized finance; direct Solana experience is a plus.
- Understanding of perpetual futures, margin trading, and complex derivatives products is desirable.
- Fluency in English.
