Job Description

 

South University is seeking a Strategic Sourcing and Implementation Manager to support the Center for Teaching and Learning Excellence (CTLE) by managing vendor partnerships, procurement strategies, and implementation of educational technologies. This part-time role focuses on cost management, contract negotiation, and operational support to enhance course quality and efficiency.


Responsibilities:
- Analyze procurement costs and develop cost reduction strategies.
- Negotiate contracts with key vendors, including terms, service, and quality standards.
- Conduct market research and generate cost estimates and forecasts.
- Maintain strategic vendor relationships and oversee onboarding of new tools.
- Assess project requirements, develop scope and plans, and ensure timely, on-budget implementation.
- Troubleshoot and resolve escalated stakeholder issues during and after implementation.
- Manage the digital resource budget, vendor billing, and invoicing.
- Support special projects and maintain familiarity with online education technology trends.
- Coordinate SME output and approvals to ensure course readiness and quality.


Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in business, economics, finance, logistics, or related field; master’s preferred.
- Minimum 5 years of procurement, vendor management, and contract negotiation experience.
- Minimum 5 years of project and budget management experience.
- Knowledge and skill with online learning technologies, including LMS platforms.
- Strong computer proficiency, especially with MS Office Suite.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Analytical and strategic thinking abilities.
- Exceptional organization, prioritization, and self-motivation.
- Ability to mentor coworkers and external contractors.
- Willingness to travel to develop and maintain strategic sourcing relationships.
