Junior Multimedia Designer

ALX Africa is a non-profit organization dedicated to unlocking Africa’s digital future through world-class tech skills training and career acceleration programs. The Junior Multimedia Designer role supports the Creative Production team by creating engaging illustrations, infographics, motion graphics, and video content for learning experiences, contributing to high-quality, brand-consistent educational materials in a fully remote environment.

ALX Africa is seeking a Junior Multimedia Designer to join its Creative Production team within the Learning Department. This role focuses on transforming complex ideas and data into engaging visual, animated, and video-based learning content that supports ALX Africa’s mission to empower the next generation of African tech talent.

Responsibilities:
- Design and assemble illustrations for static use or layered animation.
- Create infographics and data visualizations for educational materials.
- Develop and apply branded templates for presentations, documents, and digital assets.
- Design motion graphic elements, including kinetic typography and video overlays.
- Storyboard and animate 2D vector graphics and basic character animations.
- Edit video and audio content into polished learning materials.

Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree or three-year diploma in multimedia design, graphic design, animation, or a related field.
- One to two years of experience in an agency or in-house creative environment.
- Strong multimedia portfolio covering design, animation, and video work.
- Proficiency with Adobe Creative Cloud tools including Illustrator, After Effects, Photoshop, and Premiere Pro.
- Ability to manage multiple projects, meet deadlines, and work independently in a remote setting.
