Interdependence is seeking a seasoned Senior Account Director to lead strategic public relations initiatives for healthcare and pharmaceutical clients. This role is designed for an experienced agency professional who excels at client leadership, team development, and delivering high-impact communications programs in a fast-paced, remote setting.
Responsibilities:
- Serve as the primary strategic advisor and day-to-day contact for healthcare and pharmaceutical clients.
- Develop and execute comprehensive PR strategies aligned with client business and communications goals.
- Lead, mentor, and evaluate account teams to ensure high performance and professional growth.
- Oversee the planning and execution of integrated PR campaigns with measurable outcomes.
- Manage client budgets, resourcing, staffing plans, and annual account forecasting.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with top-tier healthcare and pharmaceutical media.
Requirements:
- Minimum 12 years of public relations experience, primarily within an agency environment.
- At least 7 years of proven team leadership, including staffing and budget ownership.
- Deep understanding of healthcare and pharmaceutical media, regulations, and FDA processes.
- Demonstrated success securing national and trade media coverage.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, including AP-style writing and pitching.
- Ability to manage multiple accounts and deadlines while working collaboratively in a remote team.
