Finance Data Analyst (3 Month Contract)

JobLeads is seeking a Finance Data Analyst on a 3-month contract to provide analytical support at the intersection of finance and business intelligence. This role focuses on maintaining consistent, transparent, and actionable financial data to support reporting, forecasting, budgeting, and management decision-making. The analyst will build and maintain Power BI reports, develop SQL models, and handle ad-hoc financial queries while ensuring clear documentation and financial KPI alignment.

Responsibilities:
- Build and maintain Power BI reports tracking P&L, revenue, costs, and liquidity.
- Model and analyze financial data using SQL and Excel for accuracy and insights.
- Support forecasting, budget tracking, variance analysis, and scenario modeling.
- Perform ad-hoc financial analyses, including transactions, accruals, VAT, pay rates, and cash flow.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for finance-related data questions from the Finance Manager, accounting team, and leadership.
- Ensure consistency, clarity, and documentation of financial KPIs across the BI system.
- Collaborate with data engineering to maintain scalable reporting systems.

Requirements:
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a finance-focused BI role.
- Strong hands-on skills in SQL, Excel, and Power BI.
- Solid understanding of P&L and balance sheet structures.
- Ability to translate financial data into structured, actionable insights.
- Highly organized, independent working style with strong numerical attention to detail.
