Senior Manager, Revenue Accounting

This role leads the revenue accounting function, managing billing, collections, contract review, and revenue recognition processes. The Senior Manager ensures accurate monthly close, compliance, and reporting while collaborating across finance, operations, legal, and FP&A teams in a fast-paced, enterprise SaaS environment.

Yext is seeking a Senior Manager, Revenue Accounting to oversee and manage revenue, accounts receivable, and related accounting operations. Reporting to the Corporate Controller, this role ensures accurate month-end close, compliance with revenue recognition policies, and effective collaboration across finance, legal, operations, and FP&A teams. The position provides leadership over billing, collections, contract review, and revenue accounting teams, ensuring operational efficiency and accuracy.

Responsibilities:
- Direct and manage month-end close for revenue, accounts receivable, allowances, and deferred revenue, including journal entries, reconciliations, and analyses.
- Lead and manage billing, collections, contract review, and revenue accounting teams.
- Collaborate with the Director of Revenue Cycle Management on revenue recognition processes and controls.
- Manage and review international revenue transactions and ensure compliance with internal controls.
- Participate in external audits related to revenue, accounts receivable, and deferred revenue.
- Review financial statement disclosures, recommend improvements to processes, and analyze trends for operational efficiency.

Requirements:
- BA/BS in Accounting or related field with CPA.
- 12+ years of experience, including 4+ years at national or large regional public accounting firms.
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Experience managing teams, cross-functional collaboration, and external relationships.
- Knowledge of revenue recognition, accounting concepts, and financial reporting.
- Experience with Zuora and NetSuite is a plus.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
