As Lead, Accounting, you will serve as a senior finance partner, owning critical accounting processes, providing strategic insights, and driving operational improvements across the finance function.
Responsibilities:
- Manage end-to-end processing of purchase orders, supplier invoices, and payments ensuring accuracy and compliance.
- Review and approve employee expense claims and oversee company credit card reconciliations.
- Handle sales invoicing, revenue recognition, and partner with internal stakeholders for financial alignment.
- Prepare and review prepayments, accruals, and balance sheet reconciliations during month-end and year-end close.
- Lead accounts receivable collections, manage escalations, and resolve disputes to optimize cash flow.
- Perform bank reconciliations and investigate variances promptly.
- Generate and analyze accounts payable and receivable reports, identifying risks and opportunities.
- Prepare and review monthly sales and financial reports for internal and external stakeholders.
- Identify, recommend, and implement process improvements to strengthen internal controls and efficiency.
- Support budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, audits, compliance reviews, and ad-hoc financial projects.
- Mentor junior team members and provide functional guidance as a subject matter expert.
Requirements:
- Accounting certification (or actively pursuing one).
- 3–5+ years of progressive experience in finance or accounting, including month-end close, reconciliations, and reporting.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and proficiency with financial systems, preferably Iplcicit or similar ERP platforms.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles, internal controls, and compliance best practices.
- Highly analytical, detail-oriented, and proactive problem-solver.
- Effective communicator capable of collaborating across global teams and stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, remote environment while driving continuous improvement.
