UpCounting is a remote-first accounting firm that helps eCommerce and digital businesses scale confidently through strong systems, automation, and operational excellence. As an Operations Manager, you will be responsible for building structure and clarity behind the scenes to ensure the accounting team operates efficiently, consistently, and at high quality.


Responsibilities:
- Review end-to-end accounting workflows and identify operational gaps or optimization opportunities.
- Design and improve systems, processes, and documentation across the delivery cycle.
- Evaluate existing accounting and data tools, research new technologies, and recommend solutions.
- Manage client onboarding capacity, timelines, and budgets to ensure smooth transitions.
- Track operational KPIs such as responsiveness, turnaround time, and speed-to-close.
- Train team members on workflows, tools, and updated processes to ensure consistent execution.


Requirements:
- 4+ years of experience in operations, project coordination, or practice management.
- Exceptional organizational skills with strong attention to detail and follow-through.
- High comfort level with technology and adopting new software tools.
- Clear communication skills to collaborate with accountants, managers, and leadership.
- Proactive, self-starter mindset with the ability to solve problems before escalation.
- Ability to work fully aligned with EST hours in a remote environment.
