As Principal, Business Development, you will drive the commercial success of Remote Embedded by building partnerships, engaging C-level stakeholders, and executing strategic deals. This role emphasizes partner acquisition, relationship management, and collaboration across internal and external stakeholders in a fully remote, global environment.

Job Description

 

Remote is a global HR platform solving the challenges of managing international workforces compliantly. As Principal, Business Development, you will lead the commercial growth of Remote Embedded, enabling technology partners to integrate Remote’s capabilities into their platforms. This remote-first role focuses on strategic partnership development, deal execution, and stakeholder management across diverse regions and industries.


Responsibilities:
- Recruit technology partners to implement and resell Remote via Remote Embedded.
- Generate awareness and demand among C-level stakeholders, engaging the right decision-makers with tailored messaging.
- Develop and execute targeted business development tactics for prioritized accounts.
- Build compelling business cases and implementation roadmaps, addressing objections proactively.
- Lead all aspects of deal execution including qualification, strategic assessment, transaction structuring, and negotiation.
- Negotiate terms to ensure sustainable economics and aligned incentives.
- Collaborate with Marketing to refine customer-facing collateral and targeted outreach.
- Orchestrate involvement of Remote executives and internal stakeholders across Product, Engineering, Operations, CX, Finance, Legal, and Compliance.
- Collect and communicate partner and customer feedback to Product, Engineering, and other teams.


Requirements:
- Exceptional communication and executive-level stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to think and act for long-term partnerships while executing short-term priorities.
- Deep understanding of product, engineering, GTM, operations, legal, risk, and compliance topics.
- Proven commercial acumen and ability to close deals outside standard playbooks.
- Strong internal influence and ability to align senior leaders.
- Comfortable in fast-paced, ambiguous environments with diverse stakeholders.
- Willingness to travel for partner events as required.
