Job Description

 

The Patient Services Representative is responsible for managing patient inquiries, billing questions, and account-related concerns while ensuring a high standard of service and regulatory compliance. This role requires clear communication, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently while supporting patients, medical staff, and third-party entities in a remote setting.


Responsibilities:
- Answer inbound patient calls in accordance with departmental procedures and service standards.
- Assist patients with questions related to accounts, billing, and outstanding balances.
- Place outbound collection calls following established guidelines and compliance requirements.
- Coordinate with insurance providers and third-party entities regarding patient accounts.
- Ensure strict adherence to HIPAA guidelines by safeguarding protected health information.
- Maintain reliability, punctuality, and a collaborative approach aligned with company goals.


Requirements:
- Preferably a college graduate or at least two years of completed college education.
- Educational background related to the medical field is an advantage.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work with confidential and sensitive information.
- Basic mathematical skills and strong attention to detail.
- Proficiency in email and basic computer applications.
