The Account Executive, SMB is responsible for driving new business growth by selling Carrot’s fertility and family care benefits to small and mid-sized employers. This role operates in a fast-paced sales environment and emphasizes relationship building with both employers and benefits brokers. The Account Executive partners cross-functionally to deliver tailored solutions, guide prospects through the buying process, and consistently achieve revenue targets.
Responsibilities:
- Build and manage a strong sales pipeline through proactive outbound prospecting and follow-up.
- Develop trusted relationships with SMB employers and benefits brokers as a consultative partner.
- Conduct discovery calls, deliver tailored product demonstrations, and present proposals.
- Clearly articulate Carrot’s value proposition and differentiate offerings in competitive markets.
- Collaborate with internal teams to strategize deals and accurately forecast revenue.
- Consistently meet or exceed quarterly and annual sales targets.
Requirements:
- 3+ years of experience selling to small and mid-sized businesses.
- Proven success exceeding sales quotas in competitive SMB environments.
- Experience working with benefits brokers or consultants.
- Strong communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
- Proficiency using CRM tools, especially Salesforce.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative sales organization.
