As a Materials Science Tutor, you will support AI model training by contributing expert-level materials science knowledge through annotation, problem selection, and evaluation. As a Materials Science Tutor, you will contribute directly to training and improving AI models by applying deep expertise across materials science domains. This role blends scientific problem-solving, data annotation, and collaboration with technical teams to enhance AI-driven research outcomes.


Responsibilities:
- Use proprietary software tools to provide high-quality annotations, labels, and expert inputs
- Curate and validate complex materials science problems for AI training tasks
- Collaborate with technical staff to support the development of new AI tasks and workflows
- Assist in refining annotation tools and processes to improve efficiency and accuracy
- Evaluate AI-generated responses and provide detailed feedback based on domain expertise
- Interpret and execute evolving task instructions in a fast-paced research environment


Requirements:
- Master’s or PhD in materials science or a closely related scientific discipline
- Deep specialization in one or more materials subdomains such as semiconductors, polymers, ceramics, or nanomaterials
- Strong written and reading proficiency in professional English
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and apply judgment with limited guidance
- Strong interest in AI, scientific discovery, and emerging technologies
