Business Analyst

xpate is a global fintech platform providing all-in-one money management solutions for businesses, fintechs, and regulated industries. As a Business Analyst, you will take ownership of critical user-facing and internal systems, focusing on onboarding, client portals, and operational automation. This role is highly hands-on, emphasizing workflow design, user research, and automation to deliver compliant, scalable, and frictionless experiences across the platform.

Xpate is seeking a Business Analyst to own the execution and continuous improvement of its most critical user-facing and internal systems. This is a hands-on role focused on deeply understanding user needs, uncovering hidden pain points, and designing solutions that improve user experience while eliminating manual operational work. The role spans client onboarding, the client portal, and the internal operations portal, ensuring these systems work together as a cohesive, compliant, and scalable ecosystem.

Responsibilities:
- Conduct user research to identify explicit and implicit pain points across onboarding, client portals, and internal operations.
- Own the B2B onboarding journey by mapping workflows, designing user flows, creating wireframes, and producing detailed specifications.
- Design client portal workflows that reduce support demand through self-service and automation.
- Design internal operations dashboards and workflows to improve efficiency and reduce manual processes.
- Identify and design automation and AI-driven workflows to handle routine operational tasks.
- Define success metrics, analyze user behavior and bottlenecks, and iterate solutions based on data.

Requirements:
- At least three years of experience as a Business Analyst or Systems Analyst in B2B fintech, payments, BaaS, or banking platforms.
- Strong domain expertise in B2B onboarding, compliance, identity verification, and payment flows.
- Ability to create wireframes, user flows, and detailed process documentation.
- Hands-on experience with design tools, analytics platforms, and automation tools.
- Strong ownership mindset with the ability to challenge requirements and propose better solutions.
- Ability to operate effectively in ambiguous, fast-paced environments.
