Job Description

 

Med-Metrix is seeking a Business Analyst, Analytics to support financial monitoring, reporting, and data analysis for healthcare clients. This role assists management teams by translating business requirements into actionable insights while maintaining a detailed understanding of client-specific healthcare data. The position is responsible for recurring reporting, ad-hoc analysis, and supporting daily operations within a regulated healthcare environment.


Responsibilities:
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly reports and dashboards supporting key business initiatives.
- Perform monthly and ad-hoc cash goal and financial performance analyses.
- Translate business requirements into high-level and detailed functional specifications.
- Query and analyze client data to identify trends and assess financial impact.
- Maintain in-depth knowledge of client data including payer mix, insurance classes, and system nuances.
- Support day-to-day operations through ad-hoc reporting and analytical requests.


Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, computer science, business, or related field, or equivalent healthcare experience.
- At least two years of experience using Power BI and Tableau.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel including complex formulas and pivot tables.
- Functional knowledge of databases and SQL or experience with a major programming language.
- Understanding of healthcare reimbursement and insurance practices.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to handle protected health information in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
