Security Researcher/Analyst - anti-malware product

As a Security Researcher/Analyst on the Imunify Security team, you will analyze web-based threats targeting hosting environments and contribute to improving anti-malware products. This role focuses on threat research, vulnerability analysis, malware investigation, and building automated security tools in a fully remote and flexible work environment.

CloudLinux is seeking a Security Researcher/Analyst to join the Imunify Security team and help protect shared, VPS, and dedicated hosting environments from modern web threats. In this role, you will research emerging attacks, analyze malware and vulnerabilities, and contribute to improving automated security defenses used by hosting providers worldwide.

Responsibilities:
- Research cyberattacks targeting web hosting servers and business infrastructures
- Perform threat hunting and threat intelligence research activities
- Analyze and mitigate web vulnerabilities, including zero-day and known issues
- Investigate malware incidents to support customer protection and response
- Develop and improve internal tools for automated threat analysis
- Collaborate with security teams and responsible authorities on vulnerability disclosure

Requirements:
- Strong experience with web application and browser-based attacks and mitigations
- Solid understanding of Linux or UNIX-based web servers and hosting architectures
- Practical experience analyzing PHP code and scripting for security purposes
- Familiarity with web-based malware techniques and behaviors
- Interest in applying AI or machine learning to security automation
- Upper-intermediate or higher proficiency in English
