Job Description

A London-based business development consultancy is seeking an experienced Business Development Director to support clients across the luxury, fashion, beauty, events, and creative industries. This senior-level role is centred on strategic lead re-engagement rather than transactional sales, focusing on thoughtful research, personalised outreach, and long-term relationship building. The position plays a critical role in reviving dormant opportunities and shaping sustainable commercial growth for multiple client accounts.

Responsibilities:
- Manage and strategically re-engage dormant and stagnant leads across multiple client campaigns.
- Review historical communications to identify opportunities, challenges, and relationship context.
- Conduct detailed online research to uncover relevant updates, angles, and conversation starters.
- Reconnect with prospects through tailored, value-driven email outreach.
- Prioritise leads based on strategic fit, commercial potential, and client objectives.
- Maintain accurate records, progress tracking, and reporting using CRM and email tools.

Requirements:
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in business development, sales, marketing, or client-facing roles.
- Native or advanced professional English communication skills, written and spoken.
- Strong research capability with high attention to detail and contextual understanding.
- Ability to work independently with a high level of organisation and self-motivation.
- Proficiency with CRM systems and tools such as Airtable, HubSpot, Monday, or similar.
- Availability to attend daily 8 AM UK meetings, with flexibility in other working hours.

Benefits:
- Fully remote role within South Africa.
- Flexible working hours outside of core meeting times.
- Exposure to international clients in luxury and creative sectors.
- Opportunity to influence long-term commercial strategy.

This role offers the opportunity to contribute strategic insight and relationship expertise within a globally focused consultancy environment.
