The Media Writer - Tamil role is responsible for owning long-form magazine-style content and infographic storytelling for Tamil-speaking audiences. This position shapes editorial voice, drives engagement through data-informed content, and collaborates closely with design teams to deliver high-impact regional stories at scale.

The Media Writer - Tamil role is a high-ownership position responsible for shaping the voice, quality, and performance of Tamil long-form and visual-first content across Lokal’s platforms. The role blends storytelling, trend awareness, and audience engagement in a fast-paced digital environment.

Responsibilities:
- Research, write, and edit long-form news, analysis essays, and magazine-style Tamil content.
- Identify trending and evergreen topics relevant to Tamil-speaking audiences.
- Collaborate with designers to create infographic concepts and shareable visual stories.
- Write hook-driven scripts for cards, in-app features, and internal content formats.
- Craft compelling push notification titles optimized for CTR and engagement.
- Manage content pipelines, deadlines, and tracking using Google Sheets.

Requirements:
- 1–3 years experience in digital media or startup content roles.
- Fluency in Tamil reading, writing, and speaking with strong storytelling ability.
- Degree in Journalism, Mass Communication, Literature, or a related field.
- Strong understanding of social media content dynamics and engagement metrics.
- Excellent research skills with attention to detail and visual storytelling sense.
- Ability to work independently under tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
