The Finance Associate supports the finance function by ensuring accurate financial records, timely transaction processing, and compliance with accounting standards. This role works cross-functionally to provide reliable financial data that supports audits, reporting, and strategic decision-making in a fully remote environment.
Responsibilities:
- Support preparation and analysis of financial reports including balance sheets and income statements.
- Participate in month-end and year-end closing activities, including journal entries and reconciliations.
- Process payments, invoices, and financial transactions for employees, vendors, and partners.
- Maintain accurate financial records and documentation for audit and tax purposes.
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards, tax regulations, and internal financial controls.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external auditors to support audit processes.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or a related field.
- Completion of NYSC or possession of a valid exemption letter.
- Professional qualification such as ICAN or ACCA.
- 2–3 years experience working in a finance or accounting role.
- Proficiency with financial management software such as NetSuite, Yooz, or ApprovalMax.
- Strong attention to detail, analytical ability, and communication skills.
