Yempo is seeking an experienced Accountant to support a UK-based client operating in the games industry. This mid-shift role offers flexibility to work remotely or from the office and focuses on delivering high-quality accounting and bookkeeping support within a dynamic, client-facing environment.
Responsibilities:
- Perform regular reconciliations of bank accounts, payment cards, receipts, and employee expenses.
- Maintain cloud-based accounting systems such as Xero and integrate with automated invoice tools.
- Manage end-to-end accounts payable processes, including invoice processing and payment run preparation.
- Support accounts receivable activities, including invoicing, balance monitoring, and credit control assistance.
- Assist with month-end close activities, reconciliations, and complex accounting areas.
- Support payroll preparation, statutory filings, and compliance deadlines while collaborating with internal team members.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience as a bookkeeper or accountant.
- Relevant degree or post-graduate qualification in accounting or finance.
- Hands-on experience using Xero accounting software.
- Strong background in transactional accounting and process improvement.
- Ability to work autonomously while managing recurring responsibilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a client-focused mindset.
