As a Site Reliability Engineer II at OpenTable, you will be part of the Serving Platforms team within Infrastructure Engineering, supporting the reliability and performance of OpenTable’s container-based platforms. This role focuses on operating, improving, and automating large-scale infrastructure that powers core business applications, while collaborating closely with global engineering teams.
Responsibilities:
- Support and operate OpenTable’s container infrastructure, including Kubernetes and service mesh platforms.
- Build, maintain, and improve automation and self-service tooling for infrastructure operations.
- Participate in high-impact projects, including greenfield initiatives and platform enhancements.
- Respond to infrastructure incidents, perform root cause analysis, and implement long-term fixes.
- Administer configuration management systems and supporting infrastructure services.
- Participate in on-call rotations and support production systems across global environments.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience with Linux system administration.
- Strong experience with Kubernetes and Docker in on-premise environments.
- Proficiency in at least one scripting or programming language such as Go, Python, or Bash.
- Experience with configuration management tools such as Puppet, Ansible, or similar.
- Proven experience with incident response and troubleshooting production systems.
- Ability to learn new technologies quickly and collaborate effectively with distributed teams.
