As a Key Account Manager at Kora, you will serve as the primary relationship owner for a portfolio of high-value merchants using Kora’s payment infrastructure. This role is central to ensuring merchant satisfaction, retention, and long-term revenue growth as the company continues to expand across Africa. You will combine relationship management, data analysis, and commercial insight to position Kora as a strategic partner to its most important clients.
Responsibilities:
- Manage a portfolio of high-volume and high-value merchants as their dedicated point of contact.
- Drive revenue growth through upselling and cross-selling of Kora’s products and APIs.
- Prepare and lead Quarterly Business Reviews using transaction data and performance insights.
- Proactively identify at-risk accounts and implement churn mitigation strategies.
- Act as the voice of the merchant by sharing structured feedback with Product and Engineering teams.
- Collaborate with Compliance, Merchant Success, and Tech Support teams to resolve escalations.
Requirements:
- 2–3 years of experience in account management, customer success, or business development.
- Proven ability to manage complex, high-stakes B2B client relationships.
- Strong data literacy with the ability to interpret transaction and performance metrics.
- Commercial mindset with a passion for identifying revenue opportunities.
- Experience using CRM tools such as Salesforce to manage pipelines and account health.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and problem-solving skills.
