ISHIR is seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer to support and enhance its cloud and platform operations for global clients. This role focuses on maintaining reliable, scalable infrastructure while enabling engineering teams to deploy and operate services efficiently. Working during EST hours, you will contribute to Kubernetes operations, CI/CD pipelines, observability tooling, and automation initiatives in a fast-paced, service-oriented environment.
Responsibilities:
- Operate and improve platform tools to enable reliable deployments and smooth developer workflows
- Perform day-to-day Kubernetes operations including deployments, upgrades, and issue diagnosis
- Support and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitLab CI, ensuring build and deployment stability
- Monitor and manage observability systems using Prometheus, Alertmanager, Thanos, and OpenTelemetry
- Participate in incident response, on-call rotations, and post-incident documentation
- Contribute to documentation, runbooks, and automation to improve operational efficiency
Requirements:
- 8+ years of experience in DevOps, platform engineering, or infrastructure roles
- Strong experience with Kubernetes, Helm, Docker, and container-based deployments
- Hands-on CI/CD experience, preferably with GitLab CI
- Proficiency in scripting with Bash or Python for automation tasks
- Working knowledge of AWS services including IAM, EKS, EC2, S3, and monitoring tools
- Practical understanding of observability, alerting, and incident management practices
