Proofpoint is seeking an Enterprise Account Manager to accelerate growth across Africa by acquiring new enterprise customers and expanding existing relationships. Reporting to the Country Leader, this role owns a portfolio of named enterprise accounts and focuses primarily on new business acquisition while supporting long-term account expansion. The position works closely with system engineers, channel partners, and internal stakeholders to deliver tailored cybersecurity solutions that address complex threat landscapes.
Responsibilities:
- Build and maintain strong executive-level relationships within large enterprise accounts
- Drive new business acquisition while expanding existing customer relationships
- Collaborate with system engineers and channel partners to execute account strategies
- Deliver compelling sales presentations and product demonstrations with technical teams
- Manage the full sales cycle from pipeline development to deal closure
- Track pipeline performance, forecasting accuracy, and account metrics
Requirements:
- Proven success in enterprise technology sales, preferably SaaS or cybersecurity
- Strong track record of winning new logos and exceeding revenue targets
- Experience selling to senior executives such as CISOs, CIOs, and CMOs
- Ability to close complex deals typically ranging from $100K to $1M
- Familiarity with structured sales methodologies such as MEDDIC or Challenger
- Fluency in Arabic and English
