The Financial Crime Manager is responsible for leading the organization’s efforts to prevent, detect, and respond to financial crime across its products and services. This role focuses on fraud prevention, AML compliance, forensic investigations, and continuous improvement of monitoring and control frameworks within a fast-paced fintech environment. The position requires strong leadership, analytical expertise, and close collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.
Responsibilities:
- Analyze and perform risk evaluations to prevent financial crime, including fraud and related typologies
- Review accounts and transactions for suspicious or fraudulent activity and take timely action
- Investigate and respond to requests from law enforcement, regulators, and financial institutions
- Identify, monitor, and report financial crime trends through dashboards and management reporting
- Support the enhancement of products to improve customer security and fraud resilience
- Develop and implement procedures for financial crime prevention, EDD, monitoring, and reporting
Requirements:
- University degree from a recognized tertiary institution
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a similar financial crime or compliance role
- Experience in financial services, fintech, online payments, e-commerce, or mobile wallets
- Strong knowledge of AML, STR/SAR directives, and financial crime frameworks
- Proficiency with monitoring systems, rules tuning, and data analysis
- Fluency in English, with French language skills considered an advantage
