Job Description

 

The Cash Allocations Representative role at Thermo Fisher Scientific focuses on processing daily cash receipts, managing accounts receivable transactions, and ensuring accurate allocation of payments across multiple customer accounts. The position works within the Order-to-Cash function and requires timely posting of bank receipts, resolution of unapplied cash, and performance of key month-end activities. This role interacts closely with credit control teams, accounting teams, and external customers to resolve discrepancies, obtain remittances, and maintain compliance with internal controls and documentation requirements.


Responsibilities:
- Monitor incoming cash daily and process all bank receipts accurately.
- Allocate debtor suspense amounts to customer accounts or the appropriate G/L areas.
- Record cheque receipts and coordinate with banks for timely posting.
- Investigate and resolve payment discrepancies and maintain proper documentation.
- Perform month-end close activities including reconciliations and reporting.
- Collaborate with credit control teams to resolve unallocated payments and complex issues.


Requirements:
- Experience with accounts receivable or cash application processes preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate financial documentation.
- Proficiency with ERP systems and familiarity with internal control requirements.
- Strong communication skills for interacting with internal teams and customers.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks while meeting established SLAs and deadlines.
- Understanding of reconciliation, unallocated cash management, and audit compliance.
