Ardent is seeking a GIS Project Manager to lead geospatial and IT program delivery for a Department of Homeland Security initiative. This role serves as the primary point of contact for contract-related activities, providing strategic oversight and ensuring alignment across technical teams and stakeholders. The position combines GIS expertise, Agile project management, and change management leadership to deliver high-impact solutions in a complex government environment.
Responsibilities:
- Serve as the primary liaison with DHS, managing all contract communications and activities.
- Provide strategic oversight for geospatial and IT project delivery.
- Plan, organize, and monitor project progress using established project management methodologies.
- Lead Agile ceremonies, mentor Scrum teams, and manage backlog prioritization.
- Coordinate cross-functional teams including geospatial scientists, developers, and analysts.
- Track project performance, manage risks, and report on key metrics and milestones.
Requirements:
- PMP certification or equivalent project management credential.
