Canonical is seeking a Cloud Support Engineer to support customers using Ubuntu and open-source cloud technologies. This role involves troubleshooting complex systems, resolving technical issues, and delivering high-quality customer support.
Responsibilities:
- Investigate and resolve technical issues reported by customers
- Troubleshoot complex cloud, Linux, and system-level problems
- Communicate with customers via tickets, calls, and remote sessions
- Ensure support cases meet SLA requirements and customer expectations
- Contribute to knowledge base documentation
- Collaborate with engineering teams for issue escalation and resolution
Requirements:
- Strong experience supporting Linux systems
- Knowledge in at least three of the following areas:
- Virtualization and cloud (KVM, OpenStack)
- Containers (Docker, Kubernetes, LXD/LXC)
- Storage systems (block, object, network)
- Networking (firewalls, switching, NFS, MTU issues)
- Experience in cloud computing, monitoring, and orchestration
- Strong troubleshooting and debugging skills
- Basic programming knowledge
- Excellent communication and customer support skills
