Material Bank is seeking a Sr. Manager of DevOps and AWS Infrastructure to lead the design, scalability, and reliability of its cloud systems. This role combines technical leadership with hands-on engineering and team management responsibilities.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and mentor a global DevOps and Site Reliability Engineering team
- Architect and optimize AWS infrastructure for scalability, performance, and security
- Implement Infrastructure-as-Code using Terraform and CloudFormation
- Manage CI/CD pipelines and automation frameworks
- Oversee containerized environments using Kubernetes and Docker
- Manage event-driven systems such as Kafka and workflow tools like Airflow
- Implement identity and access management solutions
- Build monitoring, alerting, and observability systems
- Drive continuous improvement in infrastructure performance and cost efficiency
Requirements:
- 8+ years of experience in DevOps, SRE, or cloud infrastructure
- 5+ years of hands-on AWS experience
- 3+ years of leadership or team management experience
- Strong expertise in AWS services, Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipelines
- Proficiency in Terraform, CloudFormation, and scripting (Python, Bash, or Go)
- Strong understanding of Linux systems, networking, and cloud security
Preferred:
- Experience with Agile methodologies
- Background in software engineering
- Experience with CDN technologies
