Frontend Engineer, ChessKid

ChessKid, its educational extension, focuses on providing a safe and engaging environment for kids to learn and play chess. The Frontend Engineer will build and maintain high-quality user interfaces, ensuring smooth, responsive experiences while collaborating with cross-functional teams.

Chess.com is seeking a Frontend Engineer to join the ChessKid team, focused on building engaging, user-friendly experiences for young learners. This role involves developing responsive interfaces, fixing bugs, and collaborating with design and backend teams to deliver high-quality features.

Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain responsive frontend interfaces using modern web technologies  
- Collaborate with design and development teams to implement new features  
- Identify and fix bugs, performance issues, and UI inconsistencies  
- Ensure smooth user experience across devices and browsers  
- Participate in code reviews and contribute to team best practices  

Requirements:
- Strong expertise in CSS, including Flexbox and Grid  
- Experience with CSS preprocessors such as SCSS  
- Proficiency in Vue.js with TypeScript  
- Strong debugging skills and familiarity with browser developer tools  
- Experience with responsive and pixel-perfect UI implementation  
- Strong collaboration and communication skills
