ALX Africa is seeking a Creative Economy Business Development Specialist to drive revenue growth and expand partnerships within the creative and digital talent ecosystem. This role focuses on originating and closing high-value deals, building strategic partnerships, and delivering impactful programs that support talent development and commercialization.
Responsibilities:
- Identify and secure revenue opportunities across grants, corporate partnerships, and creator economy initiatives
- Lead end-to-end deal lifecycle including origination, proposal development, negotiation, and contract execution
- Build and manage a strong pipeline aligned with creative economy priorities
- Develop partnerships for media production, branded content, and industry collaborations
- Manage key partner relationships and ensure high-quality delivery and long-term growth
- Track performance metrics and provide insights to inform strategic decision-making
Requirements:
- 5–10+ years of experience in business development or partnerships within the creative industries
- Proven track record of securing revenue through grants, partnerships, or large-scale programs
- Strong understanding of the creative economy and digital talent landscape
- Ability to structure and close complex multi-stakeholder deals
- Excellent stakeholder management, negotiation, and communication skills
- Strong commercial acumen and strategic thinking
