Medier is hiring a Data Engineer to design and optimize data pipelines and models that power marketing analytics.
Responsibilities:
- Build and maintain scalable data models using Snowflake, BigQuery, and dbt
- Transform raw marketing data into structured data marts
- Implement business logic for metrics like LTV, CAC, attribution, and cohort analysis
- Ensure data quality, testing, and documentation within dbt
- Optimize data pipelines for performance and reliability
- Collaborate with marketing and growth teams to support data needs
Requirements:
- Advanced SQL skills with experience writing complex, efficient queries
- Hands-on experience with dbt (Core or Cloud), including macros and incremental models
- Strong understanding of Snowflake or BigQuery architectures
- Familiarity with Git, CI/CD, and software engineering best practices
- Analytical mindset with attention to data quality and structure
Nice to Have:
- Experience with marketing analytics metrics (ROAS, ROMI, retention)
- Understanding of ad platforms like Facebook Ads and Google Ads
- Experience working with modern data stack tools
