Senior Rust Engineer

The Senior Rust Engineer will design and develop distributed systems and protocol-driven applications using Rust. This role involves working on complex blockchain infrastructure, collaborating with global teams, and contributing to high-performance, secure systems in a remote-first environment.

Equilibrium Labs is seeking a Senior Rust Engineer to design and build scalable, secure infrastructure for decentralized systems. This role focuses on developing distributed systems, working on protocol-level applications, and solving complex engineering challenges within blockchain environments.

Responsibilities:
- Research and understand complex distributed and blockchain protocols
- Design and implement scalable distributed systems and architectures
- Develop protocol-driven applications using Rust
- Create and maintain testing and quality assurance processes
- Collaborate with clients and open source communities
- Document system architecture and technical implementations

Requirements:
- Strong experience in systems programming and distributed systems
- At least 5 years of experience in collaborative software development
- Minimum of 3 years hands-on experience with Rust
- Ability to design interoperable and scalable software architectures
- Experience leading small engineering teams
- Strong communication skills and full proficiency in English
