Canonical is seeking an Engineering Manager - Ubuntu Security to lead a team responsible for identifying and addressing security vulnerabilities across its platform. This role focuses on managing security engineering efforts, improving system resilience, and collaborating with global teams to ensure robust protection for users and infrastructure.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and mentor a team of security engineers across multiple experience levels
- Provide technical guidance on vulnerability remediation and security practices
- Drive development of security initiatives and projects
- Collaborate with open source communities on vulnerability lifecycle management
- Implement engineering processes and monitor team performance
- Represent the team to stakeholders and support cross-functional collaboration
Requirements:
- Strong background in software development and system maintenance
