Lead C#/.NET Developer

An established data protection company is seeking a Lead C#/.NET Developer to guide a distributed engineering team while actively contributing to the development of a new SaaS solution. This hybrid role blends technical leadership with hands-on coding, supporting a Product-Led Growth (PLG) strategy.

Responsibilities:
- Lead and mentor a distributed team of ~8 engineers, providing structure and technical direction
- Contribute to production-grade code (approximately 50% hands-on development)
- Translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions
- Drive SaaS product development using modern architecture and cloud-native design patterns
- Oversee and improve CI/CD pipelines and agile development processes
- Collaborate closely with executive leadership on product direction and growth strategy
- Participate in daily standups (PST timezone)

Requirements:
- 7+ years of software development experience with strong expertise in C#/.NET
- 2+ years in a technical leadership or team lead role
- Experience managing remote or distributed teams (5–10 engineers)
- Strong understanding of SaaS architecture and cloud-native systems
- Hands-on coding proficiency and ability to lead by example
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and agile methodologies
- Excellent communication and leadership skills

Nice to Have:
- Experience in data protection, backup, or recovery domains
- Familiarity with Product-Led Growth (PLG) strategies and tools
- Experience with Blazor or modern front-end frameworks
- Knowledge of C++ (core product built in C++)
- Linux experience
- Exposure to AI tools for development workflows
