A cutting-edge technology company is seeking a Data Scientist to tackle complex challenges in digital advertising measurement and analytics. This role focuses on causal inference, incrementality measurement, and advanced data analysis within privacy-focused environments such as clean rooms and walled gardens.
Responsibilities:
- Transform and analyze complex retail transaction and receipt-level data
- Work within SQL-constrained clean room environments
- Measure incremental impact of advertising on revenue and customer acquisition
- Design and implement experiments (RCTs) and observational studies
- Apply causal inference techniques such as difference-in-differences and synthetic control
- Utilize causal machine learning methods (e.g., double ML)
- Build frameworks for causal analysis when experiments are not feasible
- Develop data pipelines and integrate multiple data sources
- Create visualizations and reports to communicate insights
- Collaborate with clients to align analysis with business objectives
Requirements:
- 3+ years of experience in data science, preferably in marketing or consumer analytics
- Strong SQL expertise
- Advanced Python skills (Pandas, NumPy, etc.)
- Solid understanding of machine learning and statistical modeling
- Experience with causal inference methodologies
- Knowledge of experimental design and longitudinal data analysis
- Familiarity with data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI)
- Strong communication skills for technical and business audiences
- Master’s degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, or related field preferred
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in adtech, marketing science, or consumer analytics
- Familiarity with advertising platforms (Meta, Google Ads, Amazon)
- Experience working with privacy-focused or clean room environments
- Knowledge of ETL processes and database systems
