A growing US-based real estate development and construction management firm is looking for a Construction Bookkeeper to oversee financial operations and ensure accurate tracking of project costs. This role is key to improving financial systems, managing bookkeeping workflows, and supporting communication between management and field teams.
Responsibilities:
- Manage accounts payable and receivable workflows in QuickBooks
- Process and reconcile invoices, receipts, and payments against budgets
- Track project expenses by cost code, vendor, and budget allocation
- Migrate financial data from Excel into BuilderTrend
- Maintain accurate cost codes, budgets, and financial workflows
- Perform weekly reconciliations between BuilderTrend, QuickBooks, and source data
- Prepare financial reports including AP/AR status and cash flow summaries
- Coordinate with subcontractors and vendors for invoices and documentation
- Communicate with field teams and support project coordination
- Maintain organized financial records and audit trails
Requirements:
- Experience in construction bookkeeping with strong QuickBooks proficiency
- Experience using BuilderTrend or similar construction management software
- Strong understanding of construction finance and cost tracking
- Ability to manage multiple projects and financial workflows
- Strong communication skills, including coordination with field teams
- Proficiency in Excel and Google Workspace
