As an Assistant Property Manager, you will support property managers in handling daily operations, tenant communication, leasing processes, and maintenance coordination to ensure properties are managed efficiently and tenants receive excellent service.
Responsibilities:
- Serve as the primary point of contact for tenant inquiries and support
- Manage communication for move-ins, move-outs, and lease renewals
- Draft and process lease agreements, amendments, and renewals
- Assist with property marketing and tenant screening processes
- Track rent payments, apply late fees, and follow up on delinquencies
- Prepare financial reports including delinquency and owner statements
- Coordinate maintenance requests, schedule vendors, and track completion
- Maintain accurate and compliant tenant documentation and records
- Support reporting on occupancy, leasing performance, and operations
Requirements:
- 2+ years of experience in property management or real estate operations
- Proficiency with property management software (Yardi, AppFolio, Buildium)
- Strong skills in Microsoft Office or Google Workspace
- Knowledge of lease agreements and tenant laws, including Fair Housing regulations
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Ability to multitask and manage operations in a remote environment
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience managing large property portfolios (100+ units)
- Knowledge of multi-state landlord-tenant laws
- Experience with property accounting and financial reporting
- Background in residential, commercial, or mixed-use real estate
