Xero, a global leader in cloud accounting software, seeks a Small Business Specialist to support onboarding, conversion and retention across South Africa and EMEA.
Job Description
Xero is hiring a Small Business Specialist to guide new SMB customers through onboarding, adoption and retention activities across South Africa and EMEA. The role focuses on converting new users to paying customers, deepening feature usage, and improving overall retention by delivering timely, personalised support.
Responsibilities:
- Guide new users through product onboarding and early activation.
- Conduct proactive phone and virtual engagements to improve conversion and retention.
- Design and execute test-and-learn initiatives to optimize customer journeys.
- Leverage product knowledge to recommend features and adjacent products that add value.
- Collaborate cross-functionally to implement process improvements and share customer insights.
- Support partner and stakeholder presentations and technical escalations as needed.
Requirements:
- Proven inbound sales or customer success experience and complex solution selling background.
- Strong communication, stakeholder management and resilience.
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities and spot opportunities to add value.
- Solid understanding of Xero or similar accounting platforms is desirable.
- Comfort working with regional teams and meeting call/email volume targets.
