The WordPress Support Specialist role focuses on providing technical assistance to customers experiencing issues with WordPress websites, plugins, and hosting services. The position involves troubleshooting technical problems, assisting users through support channels, and collaborating with development teams to resolve complex issues.

Job Description

 

WPMU DEV is seeking a WordPress Support Specialist to deliver high-quality technical support to customers using its WordPress plugins, hosting services, and site management tools. This role focuses on diagnosing and resolving WordPress-related issues while providing friendly and efficient support to developers, freelancers, and agencies. The successful candidate will work with a distributed global team to ensure customers receive prompt assistance and clear guidance for solving technical challenges. The role requires strong WordPress knowledge, coding ability, and excellent communication skills.


Responsibilities:
- Provide technical support to customers experiencing issues with WordPress websites, plugins, or hosting services.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot WordPress problems by accessing customer websites and analyzing potential causes.
- Respond to customer inquiries via email, chat, and community forums.
- Assist users in resolving plugin conflicts, configuration errors, and performance issues.
- Document troubleshooting steps and create detailed reports for escalation when necessary.
- Collaborate with development and second-level support teams to resolve complex technical problems.


Requirements:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience working with WordPress platforms.
- Strong coding knowledge including PHP, CSS, MySQL, and HTML.
- Good understanding of WordPress hooks, filters, and debugging processes.
- Ability to diagnose browser console errors and troubleshoot issues using developer tools.
- Excellent written communication skills and customer support experience.
- Ability to work full-time and support customers during assigned shift schedules.
